Ald. Sharon Denise Dixon (24th) was arrested and charged with drunken driving and obstructing a police officer when she reportedly refused to obey street closures at the scene of a fatal fire early Wednesday in the North Side’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

Dixon told an uniformed officer to move a police car so she could drive her vehicle through a street closed because of the fire, the source said.

Dixon reportedly began to yell at the officer, then moved her vehicle. She then got out of the vehicle and reportedly circled the police squad car on foot and demanded the officer’s star number, according to the source.

The charge stems from Locklear’s Sept. 27 arrest, when a witness called 911 to report that the actress was “driving erratically.” Since the incident, the District Attorney’s Office has dropped a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance because the drugs in question were “prescription medications.”

“Lab tests showed she had no alcohol in her system and no illegal narcotics of any kind,” said Carter. “We believe that the prescriptions she was taking could have impaired her ability to drive a motor vehicle safely.”
